How much is a U of space on a rack?

A rack unit (commonly referred to as a "U") is a standard measure of the height of a device in a server rack. One rack unit is 44.45 mm (1.75 in) high. The height of a one rack unit device is described as 1U, a two rack unit device as 2U and so on.

How do I determine the depth of the cabinet I need?

To determine the maximum depth you need, measure the depth of your equipment and add 3 inches to allow space for cabling. A cabinet with a maximum depth of 20.5 inches will accommodate equipment with a maximum depth of 17.5 inches.

How do I return or replace the product?

A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is required for all products purchased from aeonstech.com. You should first consult with AEONS Customer Service before requesting an RMA number to eliminate any unnecessary returns. You can start the process by clicking on the Contact Customer Support button below or email support@aeonstech.com.

Does ul-type mean it is ul or ur listed? Is there a sticker on the back side where the power cord exits the strip?

UL type means it is compatible with UL standard. But we didn't pay for the test to get the certificate, so we don't have UL sticker. We have the stickers of CE and RoHS on the back side of the power strip.

Can the rack ears be reversed so that the outlets face into the rack?

Yes, the mounting ears can be reversed.

Does this have surge protection?

In general, with the surge protection function of the power strip needs to be installed surge protection module and should have LED surge indicator. This power strip does not have the surge protection function.

Can additional L brackets be purchased for the rack?

The package contains a pair of 11" racks rails for 18" depth cabinet, if you need more racks rails, you can buy them according to your needs.

The pictures don't show the bottom cable access. Is the cable access bracket the same on the bottom as it is on the top?

Yes, there is the same cable access bracket on the bottom.

I want to install cable management that sticks out 2 inches in front of the rails. What is the clearance between the front rail and the glass door?

The position of the vertical mounting rail is adjustable and you can adjust the distance between the front rail and the door directly depending on the equipment you need to install.

Is the back panel removable?

The back panel is secured to the frame by 6 screws. You can choose to install or not install the back panel, neither of which affects the use of the cabinet.

Can you attach wheels to the bottom?

The bottom of the 9U rack does not have pre-drilled mounting holes, so if you want to install casters, you can drill the holes in the bottom to install them.

What size cage nuts does this support?

M6 Cage Nuts.

Does this provide noise attenuation?

This product does not have a special noise reduction design. If you very concern about sound attenuation, you can purchase ‘sound proof cabinet’, or an alternative low cost temporary solution is to purchase some acoustic foam panels and put them on the inner wall of the cabinet.

I have a dvr that will mount to a 19" rack. with the power cord it is 18" deep. will this rack work in the case?

Yes, this 6U-24"D rack fits all standard 19" rack mount devices and up to mountable depth: 22".

How are these mounted on the wall? I see the 4 holes on the back, but I was not given anchors or anything to mount it.

This product does not come with anchors because different materials require different anchors for different walls. Customers need to go to the hardware store to select the right anchors for their needs.
